Eyjafjallajökull

the volcano in iceland and its effects on airtraffic made me think of this gentleman:

...he is from vulcan, after all and did a lot of travelling through the skies.....

so i thought surely he would have something to say on all this volcano business...

logically, he does:

Once you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.

kirk:
Any conclusions? spock: Only the beginning of a theory, captain. It is possible this cloud in which we are entrapped is a living thing. The cloud is alive.

Captain James T. Kirk
: Was that a threat? Mirror Spock: I do not threaten, captain. I merely state facts.

Fascinating is a word I use for the unexpected. "Interesting" shall suffice here.

Captain James T. Kirk: Spock, what did you... perceive? Mr. Spock: The wonders of the universe, captain. Incredible. Completely incredible.

Doctor, you insist on applying human standards to nonhuman cultures. I remind you that humans are only a tiny minority in this galaxy.

Spock
: I am in control of my emotions! Control of my emo - [starts sobbing]

Peter Kirk
: There's no such thing as a Vulcan death grip... is there? Mr. Spock: We are not allowed to tell.
